The Cooperative Research Centre for Developing Northern Australia (CRCNA) has officially opened its Northern Territory office at an event in Darwin today.

Although the office has been operating since CRCNA Project Manager Sally Leigo joined the team in November 2017, today was an opportunity for key stakeholders to come together to mark the important milestone.

CRCNA Chief Executive Officer Jed Matz said having a physical presence in the Northern Territory was essential to the long-term success of the CRCNA.

“The CRCNA is focused on investing in the future development of Northern Australia and a key part of that is having boots on the ground, intelligence gathering and brokering research project opportunities.”

The CRCNA is well positioned to work with key industry and government stakeholders, taking residence in Development House alongside several key federal and Territory Government and industry offices.

Mr Matz said he encourages anyone interested in discussing potential research collaborations in the NT and Northern Australia to contact Sally Leigo.
