Summary
This GW3 project builds on previous research conducted for the Mackay-Isaac-Whitsunday (MIW), North Queensland and Far North Queensland regions. Its aim is to create a common understanding of capabilities, supply chain opportunities and challenges, and international demand for relevant agricultural commodities across these regions.
The project also explores potential markets and provides insights into how regional industries can align with global demand.
The findings from this research have the potential to significantly influence export activity for producers in the MIW region.
Expected outcomes
The research identified potential collaborative solutions where aggregating agricultural produce makes sense to optimise export outcomes.
The CRCNA will continue to pursue its objective of facilitating improved collaboration across North Queensland to optimise supply chain opportunities for export.
