The Cooperative Research Centre for Developing Northern Australia (CRCNA) has endorsed the appointment of Mr Ronald (Ricky) Archer as a Director of the Board.
Ricky Archer is a Djungan man from the Western Tablelands region of North Queensland and is currently the CEO of the North Australia Indigenous Land Sea Management Alliance (NAILSMA).
Mr Archer has extensive knowledge and experience working with Indigenous organisations and stakeholders across Northern Australia.
Since 2014, he has been actively involved and engaged with the Indigenous Advisory Committee and held at casual vacancy on the CRCNA Board from September 2018 to November 2019.
Mr Archer said he is excited to accept the appointment as a Director of the CRCNA.
“I am excited to continue working with the CRCNA to deliver meaningful, collaborative research projects across the agriculture and food, health service delivery and Traditional Owner-led development in these areas,” he said.
CRCNA Chair Sheriden Morris said Mr Archer’s connections, experience and knowledge of Traditional Owner-led business development and implementation will bolster the current Board’s skill sets.
“The CRCNA Board look forward to working with Ricky for the next two years ,” she said.
